Informed Dissent

Episode #169 with Nate Lewis

Dr. Jeff Barke and Dr. Mark McDonald Season 1 Episode 169

Nate Lewis is an accomplished individual who has dedicated his life to protecting children. As the Founder of Innocence Rescue Mission (IRM), Nate plays a critical role in the organization’s mission to protect and preserve the innocence of children from sex trafficking, exploitation, and sexual assault. Before starting IRM, Nate worked as an Executive for one of the largest global anti-trafficking organizations where he worked closely with the International and Domestic Operations teams, Aftercare, and with local authorities throughout Africa, Asia, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and throughout the U.S. He is actively collaborating with Homeland Security and Law Enforcement in online investigations and operations.

Having lived mostly abroad for 16 years, Nate’s International experiences have greatly shaped his understanding of the global nature of human trafficking. He has traveled to more than 40 countries, witnessing firsthand the various challenges faced by vulnerable communities and survivors of trafficking, sexual assault, and sacrificial practices. These experiences have deepened his resolve to combat these evils, but now, with a focus in his own backyard. These experiences have led to his ability to create effective strategies for prevention, rescue, and aftercare.

Nate continues to play a vital role in the battle against human trafficking through his leadership at IRM, and with his involvement in the investigations and rescue missions. His passion for justice, combined with his diverse experiences and expertise, makes him a driving force in the battle against child sex crimes.
